Eric Shabshelowitz is a Boston commercial and investment real estate broker with Cabot & Company, where he leads the firm’s Commercial division. Since joining Cabot & Company in 2010, Eric has represented investors, property owners, business owners, landlords and tenants throughout Boston and Greater Boston.

Eric specializes in investment and income-producing real estate, including multifamily properties, mixed-use buildings and commercial condominiums. He works with a wide range of clients, including first-time investors, experienced property owners, estates and executors, and investors completing 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. As a real estate investor himself, Eric brings both professional and personal investment experience to his client advisory work.

Eric also represents small and mid-sized businesses with retail and office transactions. He assists clients with site selection, property acquisition, lease negotiation and the transition into new locations. For businesses interested in purchasing their own real estate, Eric has significant experience with owner-user transactions and can help clients understand and navigate the SBA financing process while coordinating with lenders, attorneys, inspectors and other professionals involved in the transaction.

On behalf of property owners and landlords, Eric develops marketing strategies for commercial properties using specialized commercial real estate databases, digital marketing, direct outreach and his professional network.

Prior to joining Cabot & Company, Eric worked as an in-house attorney for a multi-brand international retailer. His legal background, investment experience and commercial real estate training allow him to approach transactions with a particular focus on financial analysis, negotiation and transaction structure.
